Guidelines for Oral Presentations

Preparing Your Presentation

  • Please use the same title and presenter name exactly as submitted with your abstract on your opening slide.
  • All presentations must be delivered in English.
  • Presentations should ideally be prepared in PowerPoint in widescreen (16:9) format.
  • If using other software, ensure the final file is exported as a PDF, in landscape, and in widescreen (16:9) format.

Uploading Your Presentation

  • Please arrive in your session room at least 15 minutes before the start to meet the session chair and confirm your presentation is loaded with the technician in the room.
  • Invited Speakers: Maximum 25 minutes, plus 5 minutes for questions (30-minute slot).
  • Oral Presenters: Maximum 12 minutes, plus 3 minutes for questions (15-minute slot).
  • Session chairs will keep speakers to time and may stop presentations that exceed the allocated limit to ensure the programme runs smoothly.

Timing and Session Management

  • There is no requirement to submit your presentation in advance.
  • All presenters must bring their final presentation to the venue on a USB key for plug-and-play upload.
  • Technicians cannot upload presentations during sessions.
Please upload your file during breaks or lunchtime only in the room where your session takes place.
  • Presenters must use the computer provided in the session room; personal laptops cannot be used.
  • The meeting room will be supported by a dedicated technician/room manager, who will assist with any issues.
