Dr. Niamh Gilmartin is currently the Head of Discipline of Biological Sciences in the School of Biological, Health and Sports Sciences in TU Dublin. With a background in Biochemistry and a deep-rooted passion for advancing the fields of cellular and genetic research, she has developed a strong track record translating novel diagnostic to the clinical environment and continues with her team to develop clinical theranostic and aptamer technology assay platforms. She is a regular reviewer for a number of journals and grant bodies.
